CHO-HP is a white, powdery solid. It is stable at room temperature, but sensitive to light, so it should be protected from light, sealed and stored properly. The shelf life reaches up to 5 years. The product is freely soluble in chloroform (1 g/4.5 ml), soluble in ether (1 g/2.8 ml), sparingly soluble in acetone, ethyl acetate or petroleum ether, slightly soluble in ethanol, insoluble in water (0.2 mg/100 ml).
