DSPC is a fully synthetic phosphatidylcholine, featuring long-chain (18:0) saturated stearic acid inserted at the sn-1 and sn-2 positions. It possesses a higher phase transition temperature (55°C), implying its capability to prevent premature degradation of LNPs within biological systems, thereby enhancing their stability.
